Greenock Taekwondo Teacher to Represent Scotland in European Championships

The motion

That the Parliament wishes Nicola Hendry, a taekwondo teacher from Greenock, all the best as she prepares to compete in the ITFU Open European Championships, in Madrid, as part of team Scotland; understands that Nicola first picked up the sport when she was 15, but took a break to manage her work and education commitments, and only rediscovered her love of the martial art in recent years; recognises that Nicola now teaches taekwondo, and understands that she hopes that her upcoming performance in Scottish colours at the championship in Spain will inspire her young students, and congratulates Nicola on this phenomenal achievement.
