Shetland Restaurants Recognised at Asian Restaurant Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Shetland restaurant, Saffron, on being recognised with an award at the Asian Restaurant Awards (Scotland) on 18 September 2023; further congratulates another Shetland restaurant, Gurkha Kitchen, on being highly commended by the Awards; understands that the Awards are organised by the Asian Catering Federation, with Just Eat as its headline sponsor, to recognise innovation, vision and exceptional food; further understands that the hospitality sector is facing challenges with rising food and energy prices along with staff shortages; believes that the Asian Restaurant Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge excellence and celebrate successes; congratulates all at Saffron for their win and all at Gurkha Kitchen for their commendation, and wishes both restaurants success in their future endeavours.
