Aberdeen International Airport Named Hub of the Year at National Transport Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen International Airport on being crowned Hub of the Year at the National Transport Awards, which were presented at the prestigious Park Plaza in London on 5 October 2023 in front of over 500 industry professionals; understands that the airport also received recognition for its professionalism following the passing of The Queen, as well as being nominated for Best Practice in Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility, while its Communication Manager, Lee McCann, was highly commended in the Frontline Employee/Community Champion category for the airport’s charity partnership with the children’s charities, Kayleigh’s Wee Stars and We Too!; notes that the airport was also complimented for the consistent and efficient service that it provides to passengers with reduced mobility, receiving the highest possible rating from the UK Civil Aviation Authority, and commends all of the Aberdeen International Airport team for their highly regarded hard work and success.
