Laurieston Primary School Pupils Fundraise for Strathcarron Hospice
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the P7 group from Laurieston Primary School who organised a coffee morning to raise funds for Strathcarron Hospice; understands that the pupils hosted their coffee morning on 29 September 2023, providing an offering of teas and coffees, home baking and a raffle thanks to generous donations from the wider community; notes that, by organising and hosting this event, the P7 pupils from Laurieston Primary School raised an impressive £1,735.53 to support Strathcarron Hospice; recognises that funding raised by such community-led events helps to support the critical provision that Strathcarron Hospice has offered across the Forth Valley region for over 42 years; understands that, to continue provision at its current level, Strathcarron Hospice must raise £14,632 every day; congratulates the pupils from Laurieston Primary School on their successful coffee morning in aid of Strathcarron Hospice, and wishes all those involved the best for the future.
