Remembering Former Clydebank FC Manager, Bill Munro, and Former Player, Frank McDougall

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the achievements of the former Clydebank FC manager, Bill Munro, whose death was sadly announced 6 October 2023, aged 89; understands that Bill took over as manager in 1975 and won the 1975-76 Scottish Second Division before guiding the club to the Scottish Premier Division in 1977; notes that Bill was inducted into the Clydebank FC Hall of Fame in 2011 to commemorate his achievements with the club; recognises, also, the sad passing of the former Clydebank FC and Duntocher Hibernian FC player, Frank McDougall, on 1 October 2023, aged 65; notes that Frank scored 28 goals in 47 appearances under Bill’s management at Clydebank FC before moving to St Mirren FC for £150,000, which was a record transfer fee between two Scottish clubs at the time, and passes on its condolences to Bill's and Frank’s families and friends.
