Paying Tribute to Helensburgh Community Council Convener, Norman Muir

The motion

That the Parliament pays tribute to Norman Muir, who tragically passed away recently; acknowledges that Norman held a position as a key figure in the Helensburgh Community Council (HCC); recognises what it sees as his tremendous efforts leading from the front with energy and promoting the town, running the HCC for eight years, and ensuring that the town's voice was always heard; notes what it sees as his tireless work in helping to clean the beach, clear the shrub beds in Colquhoun Square, along with networking with stakeholders across the region, including politicians and council officers, to help improve the area; believes that he will be sadly missed by those who knew him, and sends its sympathies to Norman’s family at this time.
