Scottish Borders Businesses Success at South of Scotland Thistle Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Borders businesses, visitor attractions and events on winning prestigious regional tourism and hospitality recognition at the Thistle Awards, held in Dumfries; understands that The Cross Keys Inn, in Ettrickbridge, won the award for Best Bar or Pub, the Allanton Inn, near Duns, won the Best Eating Experience, the Borders Book Festival won the Outstanding Cultural Event or Festival award, and the Trimontium Museum, in Melrose, won the Best Visitor Attraction award; further understands that these Borders businesses, visitor attractions and events will now represent the south of Scotland at the national Scottish Thistle Awards in December 2023, and wishes these regional winners the best of luck at the awards ceremony.
