Falkirk Social Care Provision Nominated in National Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the three crucial teams that provide social care services within the Falkirk District on their nomination for the Scottish Social Services Awards 2023; understands that the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Learning Disability Team has been nominated in the categories for excellence within its field; recognises that a combined entry between Falkirk HSCP Joint Dementia Initiative with Caledonia Service has been shortlisted in the mental health service category; notes that the Falkirk Council Women’s Justice Service has also been nominated within the excellence in justice category; commends the work of Falkirk HSCP, which has received numerous nominations and awards recently, including being named Best Place to Grow Old in a recent Sunday Times league table, which it believes attests to the high quality provision that all staff work hard to ensure is available throughout Falkirk’s communities; further congratulates these critical teams on the nominations that they have received, and wishes them all the best of luck at the coming awards ceremony.
