INEOS Completes Tour De France Cycling Challenge to Benefit Local Charities

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the employees of INEOS, including those at its manufacturing base in Grangemouth, on successfully completing their annual Tour de France Challenge; understands that the INEOS Tour de France Challenge saw 122 separate teams from across the country test their endurance to complete the equivalent distance of every stage of the infamous cycling race, with 2,800 employees taking part; notes that participating teams who complete all 21 stages of the challenge can then choose charities to donate raised funds to; understands that there were 13 teams from the Grangemouth base put forward to complete the challenge, with funding going to well-deserved local causes such as Forth Valley First Responders, British Heart Foundation, Strathcarron Hospice and Dowards House, Kiran’s Trust and Jamie’s Sanctuary, Cycling Without Age Scotland, SAMH, Falkirk’s Mental Health Association and VIE Velo; congratulates the 13 teams from INEOS Grangemouth who participated and completed all stages in the INEOS Tour de France Challenge to fundraise for fantastic causes, and wishes them all the best with their future fundraising efforts.
