Kitchen Coos and Ewes Wins Thistle Award for Best Outdoor Experience

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Kitchen Coos and Ewes on winning the Best Outdoor or Adventure Experience award at the inaugural South of Scotland Thistle Awards, which were held in Dumfries; understands that the business is owned and run by Neale and Janet McQuistin, who set up the business as part of diversifying their farm business based at Airyolland in New Luce, Galloway; further understands that the business offers tours around its working farm, giving visitors the opportunity to see Highland Cows and Beltex Sheep on the farm and learn more about farming, the history of the farm and the surrounding area, the chance to get "hands on" with younger Highland Cows and also to see a working sheepdog demonstration; welcomes the work of the business in providing free school visits for Stranraer Academy’s Rural Skills classes to go on the farm; congratulates the business on its award win, and wishes it well for the national Scottish Thistle Award finals in December 2023, and for its continuing work.
