West Dunbartonshire Council Employee Pens Fourth Crime Novel

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates George Hawthorn, who, it understands, recently completed his fourth crime thriller since the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown; recognises that the West Dunbartonshire Council employee, whose day job involves the administration of local elections, has created his DI Redding series, set in the local areas of Dumbarton and Helensburgh, which it understands has been a success with readers; acknowledges that George is in the process of writing his fifth novel under the pseudonym Andrew Hawthorn, and believes that George should be commended for his success in writing these novels while using the local area, which is known to him, as the backdrop for the thrilling stories.
