Aberdeen Triumphant in Britain in Bloom
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen on winning gold in the prestigious Britain in Bloom competition; understands that the triumphant bid, Aberdeen Communities Together, consists of Aberdeen City Council's environment services and various community groups across the city; notes that the award came after Britain in Bloom judges visited various locations across the city, including the iconic David Welsh Winter Gardens in Duthie Park; recognises that Aberdeen has won a medal in either Britain in Bloom or Beautiful Scotland every year since 2008, with awards for the city stretching back to 1964, and commends the council workers and volunteers who played their part in achieving this award.
