Leading Builder Sponsors Glasgow Team's Kit
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Ceann Creige Hurling and Camogie Club, in the east end of Glasgow, on being selected as one of only nine clubs in Scotland to win a sponsored kit giveaway from national builders’ merchant, Jewson, and plastic pipe manufacturer, Polypipe; notes that, earlier in 2023, the companies partnered to help support grassroots teams across Scotland by taking applications from junior sports clubs that felt they deserved a new sponsored kit; understands that the hurling club has not had new kits since it was set up four years ago; further understands that, due to operating in a deprived area, the club tries to offer affordable training and provide equipment at no cost, which meant that there was little left to buy new kits, and understands that the Ceann Creige Hurling and Camogie Club players are delighted with the new kit, as it has given them a sense of uniformity and pride.
