Carrongrange ASN School Extension Announcement in Latest Phase of the LEIP
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the announcement of the Carrongrange ASN School extension in the latest phase of the Learning Estate Investment Programme, and indeed the investment in nine other school estates to improve learning facilities for children across Scotland; further welcomes what it sees as the opportunities that the new campus at Carrongrange will provide for children and young people between the ages of five and 18 with additional support needs, as well as ensuring an inclusive and tailored state-of-the-art learning facility for those who rely upon the important services provided; understands that, when completed, the school will house 20 primary classes as well as 10 secondary classes for pupils with severe and complex learning needs from across the Falkirk Council area; thanks the teachers and school staff at Carrongrange for what it sees as the important work that they already carry out to support the development and education of pupils with additional support needs; recognises that the announcement means that every local authority that submitted a bid has now received funding for a project in phase 1, 2 or 3 of the Learning Estate Investment Programme; congratulates all those who worked on successful bids on their efforts to achieve project funding, and wishes everyone involved in such projects success going forwards.
