Aberdeen’s Bairns’ Hoose

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that Aberdeen has been named as one of six locations to host Scotland's first Bairns' Hoose test sites; understands that the Bairns' Hoose project aims to bring together cross-sector representation to ensure that the needs of children and young people who have been the victim of abuse are addressed; further understands that the decision to have Aberdeen as a test site was related to the city's strong record on meeting the needs of children and young people; commends Aberdeen City Council and its partners on its successful bid, and looks forward to seeing the pilot in action.
