Fife Council Awarded Bronze Accreditation in Equally Safe at Work Programme

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Fife Council on being awarded bronze accreditation for the Equally Safe at Work programme; understands that the programme enables employers to advance gender equality at work and prevent violence against women by better supporting victim survivors in the workplace; recognises that this is an integral part of the local implementation of Equally Safe, Scotland's national strategy to eradicate violence against women and girls, as set out by the Scottish Government and COSLA; further recognises what it sees as the hard work and dedication from senior leadership within Fife Council to ensure that Fife plays its part in realising the ambition of the Equally Safe strategy, and wishes them luck in progressing it further.
