My Cowdenbeath CIC Volunteer Day 2023

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the successful volunteer day that was held by My Cowdenbeath CIC, at the Maxwell Centre on 28 October 2023; understands that the day was attended by a variety of local community groups and organisations, including Cowdenbeath Civic Week, Cowdenbeath Foodbank and 4Winds, which were seeking to attract more volunteers to get involved in their local community; notes that the event was held as a direct result of the recent community survey that found high levels of willingness to volunteer within the community; recognises that this was the first volunteer day held by My Cowdenbeath, as a relatively new community interest company; thanks everyone involved for hosting such a successful day, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
