Congratulations to Grampian Regional Equality Council

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Grampian Regional Equality Council on receiving a grant of £130,171 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that this grant will be used to continue to develop the group's weekly language cafe in the Aberdeen Arts Centre; notes that this service offers support with English, providing a space to learn about life in Aberdeen, including information on services, socialising and creative opportunities, with a caseworker on hand to assist with complex issues and an ESOL tutor for those with very limited English; commends Grampian Regional Equality Council for helping people build confidence in speaking and interacting in a relaxed environment, and wishes it well with its continued endeavours.
