Congratulating Hubert Przychodzen's Success at Scotland’s Cycling Champion of the Year Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Hubert Przychodzen, of Falkirk Junior Bike Club (FJBC), on winning the Young Champion of the Year award at Scotland’s Cycling Champion of the Year Awards 2023; understands that these awards are now in their seventh year and are organised in partnership by Cycling Scotland, Sustrans, Cycling UK and Scottish Cycling to recognise those who are significantly supporting cycling across Scotland; believes that Hubert has made an outstanding and inspirational contribution in his role as a volunteer coach at FJBC and, at 17 years of age, is one of the youngest qualified cycle coaches in the country; understands that Hubert is part of a team of dedicated young coaches at FJBC who deliver cycling programmes to youngsters aged four to 16 across the Falkirk area; commends FJBC for what it sees as its inclusive, community focused approach to cycling, and for offering a wide variety of opportunities to ensure that participation in cycling, whether for leisure, sport or active travel, is promoted to all young people regardless of any barriers that they may face; congratulates Hubert Przychodzen on his outstanding achievement in obtaining the Young Champion of the Year award, and wishes him and FJBC all the best for the future.
