National Lottery Fund Awarded to Projects in Motherwell and Wishaw

The motion

That the Parliament recognises that the National Lottery Community Fund supports communities to thrive with funding from The National Lottery; congratulates the groups in the Motherwell and Wishaw constituency that have recently been successful in securing National Lottery funding; understands that Newmains Community Trust Ltd received a £88,897 grant to support a wide programme of community-led services and activities for all ages, that ALMA Firpark Club received a £5,350 grant to cover the operational costs of the club, and that Craigneuk Community Sports Trust received a £10,000 grant to continue essential refurbishment of the local sports pitch and utilities used by the community in Craigneuk; further understands that LAMH Recycle Limited received a £179,834 grant to deliver a personal development programme for adults across North and South Lanarkshire who are experiencing high levels of isolation and exclusion due to poverty, trauma, and related issues, that Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health received a £160,607 grant to provide a mental health and wellbeing programme in its centre in Wishaw, and that Wishaw YMCA received a £9,700 grant to continue operating its central hub for managing the regeneration of the YMCA in Wishaw; commends the work of such organisations, and wishes them all the best for the future.
