East Renfrewshire Young People Create Environment Mosaic for Thornliebank Library

The motion

That the Parliament commends young people in East Renfrewshire for creating a piece of artwork to promote sustainability; understands that, during a week-long programme of activity at the Catholic-Jewish joint campus of St Clare's and Calderwood Lodge in Newton Mearns, a total of 24 children worked on a mosaic from recycled materials to highlight the importance of protecting the environment; notes that the mosaic has now been put on display in the gardens of Thornliebank Library in East Renfrewshire, and congratulates all of the young people who helped put together this piece of artwork on contributing to local awareness raising of the need to safeguard the environment.
