The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Davie and Ange Hill of Alford for fundraising £32,000 for the Archie Foundation; understands that much of this amount was raised during Davie’s hike up Island Peak, a Himalayan Mountain that is just a few kilometres from Mount Everest; acknowledges that Davie’s 10-day hike through the thin-air and mountain paths was inspired by a family member who was born prematurely and has endured several medical challenges; commends Davie and Ange Hill for using this demanding hike as an opportunity to raise money for families in a similar situation; applauds the Hill family members for what it sees as their admirable resilience and compassion in the face of medical challenges, and wishes them well in their future fundraising efforts.
