Music School of Douglas Academy Pupils Excel

The motion

That the Parliament applauds the recent musical recitals by pupils at Milngavie’s Douglas Academy; understands that the Music School of Douglas Academy recently held an open evening with wonderful performances from their students; congratulates Gina Wright, one of the S6 pupils, who has gained a place on the Deutsch-Skandinavische Jugend-Philiharmonie winter course for international young musicians, which offers them a chance to perform in the Berliner Philiharmonie hall in Germany; recognises what it sees as the importance of musical education in schools, and wishes all young musicians at the Music School of Douglas Academy the best of luck in their future performances.
