Brave Lassies Blether Launch a New Resource on Healthy Relationships and Accessing Support Services
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the launch of Brave Lassies Blether campaign at Montrose FC on 2 November 2023; understands that this event introduced the members of the group, eight young women aged between 16 and 18, and highlighted the important work that the group has done so far, supported by Young Women’s Movement and NSPCC Scotland, as well as its future plans around highlighting the importance of accessing support services for young people, and the important work the group has done so far with guest speaker, director of education and lifelong learning for Angus Council, as well as its future plans to distribute materials during an organised development week in early 2024; understands that Brave Lassies Blether is a youth led campaign on healthy relationships and accessing support services delivered as part of the Young Women Know project by Young Women’s Movement and NSPCC Scotland in partnership with Angus Council; recognises what it sees as the importance of access to support services for young women and girls; notes what it sees as the role that everyone plays in promoting healthy relationships; thanks the young people involved for their passion and commitment to the programme, and wishes Brave Lassies Blether continued success in its future endeavours.
