Celebrating 30 Years of Children in Scotland

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates what it sees as the vital work of Children in Scotland as it celebrates its 30th year working to achieve its vision that all children in Scotland have an equal chance to flourish; understands that its work will be celebrated through a 30th anniversary event on 30 November 2023 that will bring together children, young people, its members and its wider network to celebrate its achievements; recognises its work to progress children’s rights and the value of the participation and engagement work carried out to support children and young people to have their voices heard on issues that affect them, including through the advisory group, Changing our World; considers the impact of the services that Children in Scotland delivers, including enquire, resolve, reach, and my rights my say, all of which, it understands, support children and young people to access their right to education; believes that the support for its membership and the wider sector, through a wide ranging engagement and learning programme, develops an engaged, skilled workforce and vibrant, active children's sector; wishes the organisation a successful celebration, and further commends the organisation for what it sees as its vital work to support children, young people, families and the sector that it works with.
