Community-led Clean Up in Aberdeen Donside

The motion

That the Parliament commends the community of Cummings Park in Aberdeen Donside, which took part in a community-led clean up event on 28 October 2023; understands that the event was organised by Councillor Donna Clark, who represents the Northfield/ Mastrick North ward, which includes the Cummings Park area; notes that the aim of the event was to help assist the local community in cleaning up and enhancing the appearance of the area; understands that, on the day, groups attended from Aberdeen City Council’s Waste Team, Housing Team, Garden Maintenance Team, City Wardens Team, as well as the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service; recognises the efforts of the residents of the Cummings Park Community Flat who organised a litter pick of the area, as well as helping to share information about the clean up with everyone within the local community, and commends the efforts of all those who took part in the community clean up on the day, which it believes was deemed a success by Aberdeen City Council.
