Two NHS Forth Valley Teams Named National Award Winners
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the staff from ward 4 and the audiology team from NHS Forth Valley on winning national recognition for their care at the recent Scottish Health Awards 2023; understands that the staff from ward 4 received the Top Team award, with the team being recognised for its work with dementia patients, which requires an understanding of the complexity of the related mental and physical conditions, as well as the skills to manage them; recognises that the audiology team was awarded the British Academy of Audiology (BAA) Audiology Team of the Year award, which was presented to staff at the BAA Annual Conference 2023; notes that this award was given to the NHS Forth Valley audiology team in recognition of its co-operation to improve services within the local area, demonstrating original and innovative ideas, including introducing advanced audiology roles to help reduce ear, nose and throat (ENT) waiting times; commends the Scottish Health Awards for celebrating NHS staff across a variety of roles for the hard work that they carry out to deliver and improve NHS services; congratulates the team on ward 4 and the audiology team once again on their awards, and wishes them all the best for the future.
