That the Parliament congratulates Fiona Mitchell for 30 years’ service running the UK’s most remote post office, in Fair Isle, Shetland; understands that Fiona became Fair Isle’s postmistress in 1993, having previously run a respite care for people with additional needs in Shetland; further understands that, together with her husband, Robert, she also sells groceries and household goods, and provides personal and business banking services; notes that Fair Isle, known globally for its knitwear, is situated 24 miles south of Shetland's mainland, has a population of around 60, and is one of the most geographically remote inhabited island in the UK; praises Fiona, who also works as a firefighter and teaches art at the Fair Isle primary school, for her role in providing essential services to the community, staying open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and regularly dealing with unpredictable weather, and wishes her well as she celebrates this milestone.
