Shetland Boat Tour Wins Two Highlands and Islands Thistle Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Shetland tourism company, Seabirds and Seals – The Original Noss Boat Tours, on winning two awards at the Highlands and Islands Thistle Awards event that was held in Inverness on 10 November 2023; understands that the Bressay and Noss wildlife boat tours won both the Best Visitor Attraction Award, which celebrates attractions with exemplary levels of customer service and satisfaction, and the Inclusive Tourism Award, which celebrates tourism businesses that serve as an example to the industry for their inclusive ethos; further understands that the Highlands and Islands Thistle Awards covers businesses operating in the Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Highland, Moray, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and Argyll and Bute local authority areas, and that it is one of five regional Thistle Awards events across Scotland; notes that owners Marie and Brian Leask and relief skipper, Marvyn Johnson, represented the company at the awards ceremony, and wishes them and the boat tours team well as they celebrate their awards.
