Glasgow City Region’s £3 Million 5G Connectivity Boost
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that Glasgow City Region is set to receive a £3.2 million funding boost from the UK Government as part of an innovation drive; understands that the city is one of 10 regions across the UK to benefit from the initiative to boost 5G technology; further understands that the money for Glasgow will assist with improving the monitoring of health and social care, as well as creating environmentally friendly social housing, and understands that, as one of the UK’s 10 Innovation Regions, Glasgow will also use cutting-edge new technologies for the monitoring and maintenance of council assets.
