The motion

That the Parliament expresses concern at recent reported figures from GambleAware, which show that nearly half of all gamblers between the ages of 18 and 24 have gambled more than they can afford to lose; is appalled at reports that 36% of young people have borrowed money or sold possessions to place a bet and that 39% said that they have experienced mental health problems related to their gambling; believes that gambling harm causes great grief for individuals and families; regrets that the proposed Gambling Reform Bill did not feature in the recent King's Speech, and calls on the UK Government to help reduce gambling harm by bringing forward the Gambling Reform Bill as soon as possible.
