10-year Anniversary of the Townhead Village Hall

The motion

That the Parliament notes the 10-year anniversary of the opening of the Townhead Village Hall in the Glasgow Kelvin constituency; understands that, after a 10-year fight for a community facility, the Townhead Village Hall opened on 3 September 2013; further understands that prior to the hall opening, community groups across Townhead had to meet in cramped basements of a block of high flats, the local church, or in the area’s only school, St Mungo’s Primary School; recognises what it sees as the importance of such facilities to allow communities to come together, and wishes the staff and the community well going forward.
