Kirkcaldy Parent Support Charity Welcomes BBC Grant Boost
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Home-Start Kirkcaldy on being awarded £30,271 from BBC Children in Need; understands that BBC Children In Need has funded the charity’s family group since 2015 and that it is continuing to fund this key part of the support that Home-Start provides to families in the Kirkcaldy area; notes that Home-Start Kirkcaldy assists parents with young children by providing support, friendship and practical help by providing one-to-one support at home; understands that the grant will help to cover hall hire, staff and transport costs, as well as paying for equipment and trips, giving local children the chance to experience a variety of play activities, socialise, have fun and become more confident; commends the charity for its work in the community, and wishes it all the best for the future.
