PC Laura Evans of West Dunbartonshire wins Community Commitment Award at Scottish Police Federation Annual Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates PC Laura Evans of the Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Division on winning the Community Commitment award at the Scottish Police Federation Annual Awards; acknowledges that the awards honour exceptional law enforcement officials for their bravery, dedication, and support; understands that Laura was nominated due to her unwavering dedication to public safety; further understands that she has assisted in training over 60 local officers in improving communication with mental health services and has helped secure funding for "dementia tags" to protect those living with the illness in remote communities; understands that PC Laura Evans arranged for vulnerable individuals in the area to receive call-blocking devices to protect them from scams, and believes that PC Laura Evans is an invaluable member of the community, and that schemes she is responsible for will go a long way in improving public safety, not just in her local area but across Scotland.
