Lynne McNicoll OBE Celebrates Fundraising Achievements with Lynne's Last Ball

The motion

That the Parliament praises the incredible fundraising efforts of Lynne McNicoll OBE, the founder of the charity It's Good 2 Give, as she steps down from chairing the charity to focus on new projects; congratulates Lynne on her enormous achievements at It's Good 2 Give, including, it understands, volunteering an astounding 50,000 hours, organising 105 fundraising events, and raising an impressive £6 million over 18 years of fundraising; understands that the charity runs the Ripple Retreat, a getaway at Invertrossachs on the shores of Loch Venachar, which offers free stays for young cancer patients and their families to spend quality time together in beautiful surroundings and in a custom-built building with the needs of the young people at its heart; notes that the charity celebrated Lynne's achievements with Lynne's Last Ball in the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh, which, true to form, was a fundraising event to raise vital funds for the charity to continue to support young cancer patients and their families; wishes Lynne well in her future endeavours, and further wishes It's Good 2 Give continued success.
