The motion
That the Parliament praises the incredible fundraising efforts of Lynne McNicoll OBE, the founder of the charity It's Good 2 Give, as she steps down from chairing the charity to focus on new projects; congratulates Lynne on her enormous achievements at It's Good 2 Give, including, it understands, volunteering an astounding 50,000 hours, organising 105 fundraising events, and raising an impressive £6 million over 18 years of fundraising; understands that the charity runs the Ripple Retreat, a getaway at Invertrossachs on the shores of Loch Venachar, which offers free stays for young cancer patients and their families to spend quality time together in beautiful surroundings and in a custom-built building with the needs of the young people at its heart; notes that the charity celebrated Lynne's achievements with Lynne's Last Ball in the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh, which, true to form, was a fundraising event to raise vital funds for the charity to continue to support young cancer patients and their families; wishes Lynne well in her future endeavours, and further wishes It's Good 2 Give continued success.
