Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire Awarded Equally Safe at Work Accreditation
The motion
That the Parliament notes that Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire has been awarded development accreditation for the Equally Safe at Work programme; understands that the programme has been developed to be an important lever in enabling employers across Scotland to take meaningful action on gender equality and demonstrate leadership on violence against women; acknowledges that, as a result of the programme, many employers have developed initiatives to tackle workplace inequalities, developed violence against women policies, and improved methods of gathering data on gender inequality; understands that the work completed by Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire includes developing a flexible working policy that includes the link to gender equality and violence against women, publishing data on mean and median full-time and part-time pay gaps, and collecting data on vertical and horizontal segregation; commends Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire and other organisations across the Central Scotland region for their meaningful work, and wishes them well in future endeavours.
