Congratulations to Aberdeen City Council
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen City Council on the Net Zero Aberdeen Routemap winning the Excellence in Plan Making Practice award at the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence; understands that the routemap sets out a strategy for Aberdeen reducing emissions of harmful greenhouse gases, including using clean energy sources such as hydrogen; recognises that the judges highlighted the way that the local authority had collaborated with partner organisations to develop the plan, and believes that this is another step on Aberdeen’s journey to becoming the global net zero capital.
