Cappielow Makes the Ultimate Scottish Football Bucket List

The motion

That the Parliament recognises that Greenock Morton FC has featured in Nutmeg Magazine’s Ultimate Scottish Football Bucket List, with editors suggesting that Cappielow Park be listed, like the Titan Crane and Sugar Sheds that overlook the stadium; notes that Greenock Morton FC has played at Cappielow since 1879, and staged one full international match between Scotland and Wales in 1902; considers that people across Scotland see football not just as a sport and hobby, but as an opportunity for tourism, as the history of the clubs and their stadiums attracts people from all over the world; believes that articles such as Nutmeg Magazine’s Ultimate Scottish Football Bucket List can help boost the profile of the country’s rich football history, and hopes that Greenock Morton’s inclusion will result in more people taking the trip to Cappielow to marvel at its fantastic location along the Clyde.
