Govan Group Re-created Calendar Girls Calendar

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates attendees of the Men's Shed in Govan, who have taken inspiration from the film Calendar Girls for their latest fundraising campaign; notes that a calendar featuring the men has been produced to raise funds for the shed's running costs and activities; understands that those involved had a great time putting the calendar together, deciding what their scenes were going to be, what month they were going to take, and making up the funny phrases to go with the photos; acknowledges that the shed was set up in 2017 to enable men who are retired, unemployed or unfit for work to have a focus and purpose, and understands that several copies have already been sold, despite only being released, with more sold at the Christmas fair on 2 December 2023 on Arngask Road in the Southside.
