McGill’s Buses Wins Big at UK Bus Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Greenock-based company, McGill’s Buses, on winning four prizes at the UK Bus Awards in London; understands that, in the Engineer of the Year category, Colin Smith was named the gold winner in recognition of his work in introducing electric buses at the company’s depot; notes that McGill’s Clyde Flyer service, which runs between Glasgow and Largs, won silver in the Top Express Route category, while the company also won silver in the Environmental Innovation and Bus Operator of the Year categories; believes that this string of awards reflects McGill’s journey towards improving its sustainability credentials, and taking innovative approaches towards that goal, and wishes the company and its staff all the best as it continues to serve local communities in the Greenock and Inverclyde constituency and elsewhere across Scotland.
