A Slice Pizzeria Receives Scotland's Best Pizzeria Title at Italian Awards

The motion

That the Parliament recognises A Slice Pizzeria on being awarded Scotland’s Best Pizzeria at the Italian Awards; notes that A Slice Pizzeria is a joint venture between experienced hospitality manager, Simonas Griauzde, and professional chef, Carmine Barretta; understands that the business partners met while working in a restaurant and that their mutual passion for pizza led them to setting up their own eatery in Kilmarnock over a year ago, and later opening a location in Wishaw; further understands that A Slice Pizzeria has a focus on quality ingredients, with tomatoes, cheese, flour and meats being imported from Italy; understands that the pizza recipe is authentic, and indeed a special one, passed to Carmine by his Nonna, who sold pizza in Naples; congratulates Simonas and Carmine on their success, and wishes them all the best for the future.
