Gathering South Wins Club of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lee McGilvary and Gathering South Sessions on winning Club of the Year on 2 December 2023 at Dundee’s Caird Hallon; understands that the prestigious 21st MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards celebrated the very best of Scottish folk music; commends Ayrshire-born Lee for his great music passion and purpose; recognises what it understands is his desire to make music accessible with house concerts, studio sessions, and live events; applauds Lee for this achievement, and wishes him and Gathering South a very musical future.
