The motion

That the Parliament congratulates NHS Borders health visitor, Rhona McLeman, from Galashiels, on being awarded the Queen’s Nurse title; understands that, as one of 24 community nurses selected by the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland in 2023, Rhona was nominated to join the programme for "nurturing connections and realising potential" in her role; further understands that, until six years ago, the Queen’s Nurse title had not been awarded since 1969, and that, since its reintroduction, NHS Borders has had a member of its staff awarded the title every year, and pays credit to the Queen's Nurse programme for providing opportunities for development in the sector and recognising what it sees as outstanding nursing practice.
