Parkinson’s Excellence Network Awards 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Nick Bryden, Parkinson's nurse specialist, Richard Cottrell, senior pharmacist in Electronic Prescribing, and Michelle McLuckie, Digital Services, from NHS Ayrshire and Arran, on being awarded the Innovation in Practice and overall Excellence Award at the biannual Parkinson’s Excellence Network Awards; notes that the awards final was hosted at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens by Parkinson’s UK president, Jane Asher; understands that the Parkinson’s Excellence Network Awards celebrate outstanding health and social care services; applauds Nick, Richard and Michelle for their development of new, innovative systems, improving time-critical administration of Parkinson's disease medications within NHS Ayrshire and Arran's hospitals; understands that their efforts have contributed significantly to the sustained improvement of Parkinson's patients at no ongoing cost to the NHS; considers this to be an outstanding achievement, demonstrating commitment to their roles and collaboration with NHS teams; congratulates everyone involved, and wishes them continued success for the future.
