Inverclyde’s McDonald's Staff Raise Funds for Parklea Branching Out
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Greenock and Port Glasgow McDonald's staff for raising £8,000 for Parklea Branching Out, which is a charity based in Port Glasgow that works with people with differing additional support needs; understands that the money will help develop the site’s new community hub and accessible gardens; notes that the money was raised through the 10p carrier bag charge and was donated through the McDonald’s in the Community Foundation, which distributes the funds; appreciates that the new community hub will provide inclusive, interactive and enhanced opportunities for all participants; believes that Parklea Branching Out has undertaken fantastic work during the 27 years that it has been operating for, and wishes it all the best as it continues to be a valuable asset in the local community.
