Congratulating Abernyte Primary on Positive Inspection Report
The motion
That the Parliament notes the report from Education Scotland following its October 2023 inspection of Abernyte Primary School; appreciates, from the report, that the school's strengths include children's engagement and knowledge, the headteacher's leadership in fostering inclusivity and collaboration, the provision of high-quality learning experiences and the notable levels of attainment and achievement across the school; recognises the reported need for continued improvement in areas such as extending partnership working with other schools for enhancing children’s learning, and commends the school’s overall performance, as evaluated by Education Scotland, with "very good" ratings across key quality indicators, including leadership of change, learning, teaching and assessment, ensuring wellbeing, equality and inclusion, and raising attainment and achievement.
