Manorview, When You Wish Upon a Star
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Manorview on raising over £95,000 to provide a magical experience for children with life-limiting illness through the charity, When You Wish Upon a Star; understands that, together, staff walked 2,400 miles in 2020, 6,213 miles in 2021, completed numerous marathons, endured a 70km Arctic trek in temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees, skydived from breath-taking heights and battled the Tough Mudder courses; notes that Manorview has 12 venues across Scotland, including the Commercial Hotel in Wishaw; understands that When You Wish Upon a Star has a simple mission, to grant the wishes of children living with a life-threatening illness and was founded in Nottingham by Barbara White OBE; thanks all the staff and customers of Manorview for their kindness, and wishes them all the best for the future.
