St Brigid’s Primary, St Brigid’s Nearly New Shop and St Vincent’s De Paul, Newmains, Helping Families

The motion

That the Parliament commends the pupils of St Brigid’s Primary, St Brigid’s Nearly New Shop and St Vincent’s De Paul, Newmains for their food collection and distribution across the community; understands that the food parcels will help families in the community who are currently struggling with the cost of living crisis; notes that the Society of St Vincent De Paul was established over 200 years ago to help people facing poverty, isolation and those forgotten about within the community, which, it understands, remains the ethos of the charity across 150 countries, with over 1.5 million volunteers; thanks the pupils, the volunteers of the nearly new shop, the community and St Vincent De Paul for their acts of kindness, and wishes them all the best for the future.
