Bishopbriggs Professor Awarded OBE in King's New Year Honours List 2024

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Professor William Cushley, of Bishopbriggs, on being appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in The King's New Year Honours List 2024; notes that Professor Cushley was awarded this accolade for services to the regulation of plant protection products; recognises that Professor Cushley has acted as the Chair of the UK Expert Committee on Pesticides, which provides Ministers with advice on important matters relating to pesticides; notes that Professor Cushley is Professor of Molecular Immunology and the Assistant Vice-Principal (International) at the University of Glasgow, where he also serves as Co-director of the Glasgow-Caribbean Centre for Development Research, and wishes William all the best for the future.
