Longest Serving Member of Inverclyde Women’s Aid Retires
The motion
That the Parliament wishes Carol McLaughlin, the longest serving member of Inverclyde Women’s Aid (IWA), a happy and restful retirement as she prepares to stand down as the charity’s Team Leader; understands that Carol first joined the IWA as a volunteer, dedicating four altruistic years before becoming a full-time employed member of the IWA team, and that she has since gone on to have a remarkable career with the charity, spanning 35 years; considers that Carol has witnessed the evolution of the IWA and the transformation of the lives of numerous women and children who have been dealing with domestic abuse in Inverclyde; believes that Carol will be sorely missed by her colleagues, but that they will carry on her legacy, inspired by her dedication to the IWA and its work, and wishes Carol all the best for the future.
